WHEREAS, The extension of North Pecan Street from East Fern Avenue northward to Woodland Drive is estimated to cost $442,500, AND
WHEREAS, This is a planned City constructed road project for FY23, budgeted for the amount of $316,174, AND
WHEREAS, The Street Department is requesting to move this project to FY22, and increase project by $126,326, for a total of $442,500 under Account #400-3010-5100 CR-4, AND
WHEREAS, Out of the road building components, Street Department plans to go to bid for the asphalt surfacing, AND
WHEREAS, Street Department expects six to nine months for the road to be completed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Approves moving the extension of North Pecan Street from East Fern Avenue northward to Woodland Drive project from FY23 to FY22.
SECTION 2: Approves increasing the planned project by $126,326, for a total of $442,500 and amends account #400-3010-5100 CR-4 accordingly.
SECTION 3: Approves permission for Street Department to go to bid for the asphalt paving component of the road building project.
SECTION 4: Acknowledges that the Street Department is estimating six to nine months for the North Pecan extension to be completed.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
