A Resolution to Reappoint Elizabeth Lugo to the Foley Education Advisory Committee

Ms. Lugo's term has expired. She is willing to serve another term. Her new term beginning retroactive September 28, 2025 and ending on September 29, 2028.
Body
WHEREAS, Ms. Lugo's term expired on September 27, 2025, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Lugo has agreed to serve a three year term , and
WHEREAS, the State of Alabama Ethics Commission says that public officials/board members fall under the State Ethics Law, and therefore should have the opportunity to educate themselves regarding this law, and
WHEREAS, the Alabama Ethics Commission has recently developed an online video training of the Alabama Ethics Law, which can be accessed at their website at www.ethics.alabama.gov, and
WHEREAS, all newly appointed and reappointed board members must submit a copy of their training certification to the City of Foley as a condition to being appointed/reappointed to the boards.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Foley, Alabama, as follows:
SECTION 1: Reappoints Elizabeth Lugo to the Foley Education Advisory Committee beginning retroactive September 28, 2025 and ending on September 29, 2028 based on the conditions that she submits a copy of the Alabama Ethics Law certification to the City Clerk to be included in the City's General Files.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption as required by law.
